Attorney AMBER L. TUCKER

Amber has nearly 20 years of experience zealously advocating for her clients. She has gained a variety of litigation experience from working in both public and private practice. 

Amber began her legal career in 2005 at the Hillsborough County Public Defender's Office in Tampa, Florida where she was able to develop her criminal defense, trial and courtroom advocacy skills. Amber worked on thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies punishable by life in prison. 

In 2009, Amber returned to Maine and worked at the Maine Office of the Attorney General's Office as a Drug Task Force Attorney. While at the AG's office, she prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases, including misdemeanors and felonies. 

While working for the AG's office, Amber taught seminars in drug law and drug crime investigation to law enforcement officers throughout Maine. She also has experience teaching at the University level, having taught as an adjunct professor at the University of New England. 

Several years later, Amber went into private practice and  returned to her roots as a criminal defense attorney. In addition to criminal defense, Amber has devoted much of her practice to representing  clients in the areas of divorce, child custody,  and personal injury. 

She was the President of the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers from 2021 to 2023, and remains active in the association.

Amber has been fortunate to have  varied professional experiences throughout her career and she brings with her all of the skills and knowledge learned from her past employment, colleagues and mentors.
